Precise transport for stable continuous press hardening processes

The Aichelin Step-Chain Conveyor Furnace is designed for continuous press hardening processes as well as hot metal gas forming of tubes and ensures reproducible heat treatment of complex component geometries. The step-chain transport principle enables precise, low-vibration component transport and stable thermal process conditions.

Direct and indirect processing of blanks and sheet metal geometries on workpiece carriers, as well as tube processing, are equally possible.

The Aichelin Step-Chain Conveyor Furnace features an indexed transport system that enables precise component positioning and low-vibration transfer. This ensures reproducible process conditions and high system availability. In addition, typical wear mechanisms such as roller breakage or coating deposits are eliminated.
The Aichelin Step-Chain Conveyor Furnace is suitable for direct and indirect processes using workpiece carriers, press hardening, and tube forming.
Process reliability is ensured by defined component positioning, uniform heat transfer throughout the furnace, and a stable furnace atmosphere with optional dew point control.
High energy efficiency is achieved through the use of recuperative burners or high-performance electric heating elements, targeted temperature control, and an adaptable furnace atmosphere.
Depending on the configuration, Aichelin Step-Chain Conveyor Furnaces are designed for different temperature ranges. For press hardening and hot forming applications, operating temperatures of up to approximately 980 °C are possible.
The integration of FOCOS 4.0 into Aichelin Step-Chain Conveyor Furnace systems enables central process monitoring, batch traceability, fault diagnostics, and complete data recording for quality assurance and energy analysis.
